Common questions
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up and no password. Open the app and start.
Where is my saved work stored?
On your phone. Grievance sheets, notes and crew entries never leave your device. Back up your phone the way you normally would, and use the export option in the app to keep your own copy of anything important.
I got a new phone. Where did my saved grievances go?
Because your data is stored only on your device, it moves with your phone's own backup. If you set up the new phone fresh rather than restoring a backup, use the export file you saved earlier to bring your items across.
What does "about 40 deep dives left" mean?
Your subscription includes a monthly allowance of AI conversations with Moxie. The counter is an estimate of how many full conversations you have left this month. Anything you don't use carries over for one month.
I ran out before the month ended.
Your allowance resets on your renewal date, and anything unused carries over for one month. Everything you've saved stays exactly where it is either way — running low never locks you out of your grievance sheets, notes or the contract itself.
Moxie gave me an answer I think is wrong.
Tell us — this is the most useful message you can send. Include the question you asked and what you believe the right answer is. Moxie reads the contract, but she is a tool, and your rep is the authority. Always confirm before you act on something that matters.
Can Moxie file a grievance for me?
No. ContractForce helps you organize the facts and build a cheat sheet you can hand to your representative. Filing happens through your union, not through this app.
Does ContractForce work offline?
Your saved items, notes and the contract sections you've already loaded are available without a signal. Talking to Moxie needs a connection.
How do I cancel?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google, not by us. On iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. On Android: Play Store → your profile → Payments and subscriptions. Refund requests go through the same store.
Does the app track what I do in it?
No. Nothing in this app tracks what you do — no analytics SDK, no session recording, no third-party tracker. Nobody is measuring which screens you open or what you search for.
There is one exception and it is worth being plain about: when the app breaks, it sends a
single word naming what broke — something like moxie_timeout — plus the screen you
were on and your app version. It never sends your questions, your grievance drafts, your notes,
or anything else you typed, and there is no field in the report capable of carrying them. Switch
it off any time in Settings › Send crash reports. The
privacy policy shows the entire report, field by field.
Something broke and I want to tell you exactly what.
Settings › Copy diagnostics puts the last twenty problem codes from your phone on your clipboard. Paste that into an email to contractforceapp@gmail.com and it usually tells me more than a description would. It contains no part of anything you typed.
What do you actually know about me?
Nothing that identifies you. No name, no employee number, no email, no base, no seniority, no location, no advertising ID. There are no accounts, so there is nothing to know. Everything the app sends is sent either to answer your question or to keep the app and Moxie running properly — never to build a picture of you.
If you look at the app store privacy label and see the word analytics, that is the stores' word for using data to improve a product, and it covers the feedback you chose to send me. It does not mean anyone is watching what you tap — there is no tracker in this app. Here is exactly what it does and does not cover, and here is every field that ever leaves your phone.
How do I delete my data?
Delete the app. That removes everything on your phone, which is nearly all of it — notes, grievance sheets, crew list, settings. You can also clear saved grievances from inside the Grievance & Hotel Hub.
The only thing that lives anywhere else is a feedback note, if you chose to write one on the Moxie Feedback screen. It is stored with the date and nothing that points back to you, so I cannot look yours up — but if you want one removed, email me and quote enough of it that I can recognise it, and it is gone.
Can I show you an actual chat?
Yes, and it is the single most useful thing you can send. A tally tells me that Moxie missed; a real exchange tells me how. The Moxie Feedback tab has an Email me a chat button that opens your own mail app, and you can do the same from here.
Nothing is attached for you. Your chats never leave your phone on their own — you paste in the part you want me to see, and you delete anything you would rather not send. That friction is deliberate: volunteering a conversation should be a decision you make, not something an app does quietly on your behalf.
Please take out names, employee numbers, and anything a third party told you in confidence before you send it.
Contract updates by email
There is no other way for me to reach you. The app stores have no channel to you, and ContractForce has no accounts. If the contract gets amended, or Moxie goes down, or something worth knowing about ships — this list is how you'd hear.
Contract updates and new features. Nothing else. No marketing, never sold, never shared, and one click to leave.
You'll get one email asking you to confirm. Nothing is sent until you click that link — if you never do, your address is never used. The list is handled by Kit, my email provider; your address is stored with them and nowhere else, and no script from Kit runs on this site.
